A Rational Legislator Myth versus Reality of Legislative Procedure

(Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science)

The constitutional law is based on several presumptions, starting with the Constitution reflecting the social contract and ending with the "rationality" of the legislator. This section of Days of Law will confont the rational legislator myth with the reality of legislative procedure both in the Czech Republic and in other European countries as well as in European Union. The contributions may cover topics such as legislative "wild riders", retroactivity, abuse of extraordinary legislative procedures and so on.
